Clara Benin is a Filipino singer and songwriter. Her music is characterized by a laidback and enchanting vocal style and guitar work.
In 2012, Clara enrolled in MINT College to study Music Business Management, where a video of her original composition “Closure” became a college hit.
In January 2014, she became the voice behind McDonald's popular jingle, “Hooray for Today”. She was then asked to interpret “Kung Akin Ang Langit” with McCoy Fundales for Philpop 2014, where it won the Spinnr People’s Choice Award.
Later on that year, Clara wrote and recorded the theme song "Araw't Gabi" for the independent film Red.
In early 2015, world-wide chain Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf signed up Clara for a music tour where she was able to promote and release her debut album, Human Eyes.
Clara then released an EP titled Riverchild that she produced, wrote, and mixed in November of the same year.
On July 29 and 30 of 2016, she had her first ever solo concert “Coming Home” in Teatrino Greenhills. Thirty minutes after the concert was first announced, tickets were sold out.
After a year-long hiatus from performing live, Clara released a single titled “Parallel Universe” in November 2017 and launched a music video directed by Film director, Norvin Delos Santos for the hit single in March 2018 at the AXON Green Sun Hotel.
Her live performances to date include bar gigs, school concerts, corporate events, music festivals, and fronting for foreign acts.
